Hi, I’m Annie & I am so glad you are here.

I am a mover, a feeler, a day dreamer. A cat lady, space holder & chronic pain experiencer. An anatomy, energy, certified movement freak.

I deeply care about feeling more than just okay in life. And I also care about holding space for all of our feelings. Creating arrive has been the scariest yet most rewarding choice of my career. I am not my business, but my business is me.

I am here to share my experience & education as a tool to help you get to where it is that you want to be. I’m on a journey to restore and help others alongside me. I’m right here in this work with you.

I believe that we each have a deep knowing inside of us that needs our attention. Call it your gut, your intuition, your inner voice, whatever it is, it’s time to listen in because it has no wrong answers.

I come to you as a recovering hustler. I devoted all of my 20s to this hustle obeying the rules & shoulds, trying to prove myself to the world. It started with dancing professionally and bartending on the side, treating my body like crap until I blew out my back.  Next was the full time yoga teacher gig, teaching 20 classes a week, driving all over the city, class at 6 am, then 12 pm and another at 9 pm, spending so much time prepping outside of class, just to be paid so little I needed another job. I’ve held roles of instructor, teacher trainer and director. First came the stars in my eyes that I was living the full time yoga teacher life, then came the exhaustion, the anxiety and panic attacks.

I was living a double life, trying to be this put together zen teacher, then totally checked out the second I left. I wasn’t showing up as my full self and I burnt tf out.

And then came the fun corporate job (all while teaching a handful of classes a week because I’m a hustler, baby). I was enthralled by the paychecks, benefits, consistency and promotions I had earned, that I couldn’t find anywhere in the fitness world. I had the opportunity to professionally coach & develope a team, all while helping run a successful business. I thought this was my new path and I tried to be all in. But, then came workplace heartache and the knowing, that voice deep inside, she kept nudging me to choose myself and dream bigger.

Now, I’ve ditched the thought to be dreamy jobs to create my dream job: arrive. I don’t take any of these previous opportunities for granted, they helped me realize my needs and gave me real life experience. I am here to show up as my full self, not the scattered teacher hiding her truth, not the replaceable corporate junkie, just Annie and only Annie.

I have used these experiences to create my one-on-one & small group offers that provides others with valuable tools & skills to create happiness, success & purpose in their lives, and to remind you that you already have all the answers with you. One is, Pilates Training & Embodiment Coaching, for those who know movement is the answer, and are ready for accountability, mindset shifts & boundaries in their lives. The other is, an Intuitive Business Mentorship, for fellow pilates & yoga instructors who care about how they feel in their work and are ready to break out of the group class grind to find freedom & abundance.

I don’t move & teach for the a “perfect” body or life, I move for the clearing and the healing.

I have been a teacher of movement for 10+ years. I am a yoga instructor, Pilates teacher, graduate of Dance & Integrated Physiology, and a certified (movement) freak.

I see movement as vital as drinking water. It is the integration of all things - mind, body, spirit.  Not only can we improve mobility, flexibility, strength and stamina, we also get to heal injuries, release trauma and stress held in our tissues, balance our moods and restore our nervous system. The result is a more you YOU where you can move through life with sustainable energy, healthy boundaries, a confident voice & empowered body. Movement with me is for your whole body. Movement heals.

Pilates is nervous system health.

I am trained to facilitate in a “trauma informed” way. This is a way of teaching & hosting that recognizes the impact of trauma & past experiences that each of us have, and we integrate knowledge of trauma into sessions, learning, and sequences.

We have an innate & animalistic need for movement. Our world is full of endless stimuli that our brain is sorting through. When our brain locates a threat, whether it is a major violent attack, a bothersome work conflict, or snowy road conditions, our nervous systems sends us into a nervous system response sometimes including fight or flight. We don’t always get to decide what is traumatic or triggering, and sometimes our nervous system just takes over and does it’s thing!

This nervous system response builds up survival energy so we can fight or run in response to the threat (epinephrine and norepinephrine to make us faster, strong, & more alert). This primal response evolved to protect us in the wild when an animal may attack us, but now in our current society & modern age, we are experiencing a much higher frequency of survival energy, but we aren’t always fighting or running like our body is preparing to do, and this survival energy gets stored in our bodies.

My approach to movement and exercise is to allow our nervous system to do what it needs to, to work with it as best as we can. Animals in the wild have been studied to shake & move their body in interesting ways right after a threatening experience.

It’s as simple as allowing your body to shake, sweat, tremble, experience challenging movement, link breath to movement, let a feeling pass through. A regular movement practice helps you adapt & learn how to respond to these threats or sensations if and when they arise. Regular movement also helps to strengthen your ability to regulate and hold it all. It doesnt need to be complicated or scary, it’s the way our body was designed and I teach you how to become aware & hold space for it all. I use the teachings of Pilates, yoga, meditation, dance & somatic experiencing to build awareness & move our energy.
